Amelie helps you keep a private record of your menopause treatment and how you feel: your medicines and every change to them, your symptoms through the day, the good moments too, and a one-page summary to take to your appointments. It organizes what you log. It does not diagnose, predict or give medical advice.
Amelie is made by Digital Utopia SRL, a small company in Bucharest. If something isn't working, or you have a question, write to us:
We aim to reply within two working days. Please don't send health details unless we need them to fix the problem.
Where is my data? Only on your iPhone or iPad. There is no account, no Amelie server and no cloud sync. We never see your record. Your phone's own backup (iCloud Backup or a computer) includes Amelie, as it does any app.
What happens if I delete the app? Your record is deleted with it. We can't recover it, because we never had a copy. Make an export first if you want to keep it.
How do I export my record? On Today, tap Settings, then Export everything under Your data. Amelie makes one file it can read back (amelie-record.json) and four spreadsheet files (entries, medicines, changes, check-ups). Save them to Files, or send them to yourself. Export stays open after a subscription ends. What Amelie reads from Apple Health is not in the export; it stays in Health.
How do I move to a new phone, or restore an export? Export on the old phone and keep the file. On the new phone, open Amelie, tap Settings, then Restore from an export, and choose the file. (You can also restore during setup.) Restoring adds what your record doesn't have yet. It never deletes or changes anything, and restoring the same file twice adds nothing. Restoring needs an active subscription or free trial. Moving to a new iPhone with Apple's own transfer or backup also brings Amelie's data with it.
Does my iPad share the record with my iPhone? No. Each device keeps its own record. Your Apple Watch sends what you log on it to your iPhone.
How do I delete one entry? Open it and delete it there. To delete everything, delete the app.
Amelie can read your sleep, weight, workouts, food and water from Apple Health. It never writes into Health, and what it reads is not stored by Amelie or sent anywhere. Turn it on or off in Amelie under Settings, Read from Apple Health. To change what Amelie may read, open the Health app, tap your picture, then Apps, then Amelie.
Turn reminders off or change them: on Today, tap Settings, then Reminders. You can switch a reminder off or delete it.
What shows on the lock screen: with Discreet wording on (the default), no medicine and no health words appear. Turn it off to show the name you gave the reminder.
Reminders don't arrive? Open the Settings app, then Notifications, then Amelie, and check they're allowed. A Focus can also hold them back.
